Have you ever gotten hyped up about a new platform launching only to finally go into it and you can't make sense of what to do. Instead it takes hours of researching, trial and error and all that other time consuming stuff. Only to find out by the time you did finally figure it out the hype had died off and you missed out on serious rewards?
Yep, I've been there many times. Early bird gets the worm type deal and it's why I try to educate myself as much as possible before something is released.
The system is simple to understand. There's no mining or staking it's 100% Proof of brain which means you need to remain active curating content, leaving valuable comments and producing good/high quality posts.
Think of it as the early days of Hive and what it would be like if you joined Hive on day one or even a month after launch but with a little twist. That twist being you have to be active in some way on the platform to earn more POB. There's no sitting back and collecting here which in it's simplicity is super powerful. It not only promotes engagement but it also produces value.
There are a few other unique aspects to POB (Proof of Brain) that you should be aware of. Every 4 years POB rewards will decrease by 50%. That means if you earned 100 POB on your post and the halving happens you'll now be earning just 50. The first reduction 3 years and 11 months from now is going to be the biggest reduction out of them all so expect a price jump like we often see with Bitcoin every halving that takes place there.
With the massive increase in price of POB as of late it also means the team has waken up and want's to start building the platform.
So far the only thing I know of fund wise is going to a new UI for the site. Which is ok but it's not really needed and it wont increase the price of POB.
If the UI gets updated I honestly feel it should just be the front page for new visitors. It would be a nice beautiful modern page that highlights what POB is, the project details and an easy to sign up system. The backend to me looks find and doesn't necessarily need a new UI.
I'd really like to see some unique features come out of this site but keeping it simple. I believe the simplicity of how the tribe works is golden and will hold it together. Adding complexity to it may crush it. I'd be curious to see what kind of ideas are on the table and how we as a community here on POB will raise those funds for those projects and how we can "vote" on what projects get those funds truly keeping the POB theme.
