Mighty stuff Niall.
You're flying it man and it must feel great to be out hurling for your local team.
I don't envy you chasing the 21 year old around in the previous match!

It's funny playing hurling since I'm only a blow in and playing in another jersey than i grew up in. Feels a bit wrong...
Great to get the win though and if we can win this sunday it gives us a good shot at a semi final.
I've pretty much been in constant slight pains for the past month. My body got a right shock to the system when i started and another when we started playing real games. The level of junior C here is actually really high. Way higher than i expected so i'm playing catch up in my fitness.
It's a great experience though and if i can stay injury free will be well worth it. We lost 8 lads form the first week. Another 5 the next game and three from this one. Dropping like flies with pulled muscles and pains. :D
Hopefully we get a few of them back soon or we will run out of players.
At our age, it's a marathon, not a sprint, so try maintain that fitness by doing strength and conditioning and you'll end up a regular starter. The technical skills gap will be hard to bridge against lads playing all their life, but the fitness bit you can match and surpass them.
Ha ha, must be weird lining out for a different club, but a great way to get to know locals and fit into the community nicely 👍🏻
