Chunky Mushrooms

Thank Crunchy It's Friday people. I've an action packed weekend ahead of me. I'm coaching my three boys soccer and Gaelic football teams tomorrow and I'm playing a big golf tournament - our monthly medal and I'm also attending a milestone birthday party with friends and family which is going to be really good craic. We've the babysitter lined up to mind our three boys which means myself and my wife can let out hair down and have lots of fun with friends.

I'm on the golf course first thing tomorrow morning to play the monthly medal that I mentioned as there's no point we're trying to play on Sunday with a big bad hangover, no, I'll play early Saturday and maybe I'll have a chance to win the thing! Speaking a golf actually that's the Genesis for this post as if the place right often see mushrooms. So strap yourself in for fungi Friday!

We've got Three Tune Tuesdays for the musically inclined. We have Beer Saturday for those who like a brew on Saturday night after a tough weeks work. Then there are Fridays, another favourite day of mine and Fridays mean Fungi Friday. It's getting to the time of year when I'm seeing lots of mushrooms on the golf course so, as soon as I saw these mushrooms on an a recent practise round, my thoughts immediately turned to @ewkaw and Fungi Friday.

Closer

Come one, follow me and we'll have a closer look. There was a nearby mushroom that had been knocked over so I got a few shots of the Under carriage too.

Isn't nature amazing? With her intricate designs and breath taking beauty.

Fungi Friday

First things first, have a read of @ewkaw's weekly Friday post to hear all about it and get snapping the next time that you see mushrooms in the wild.

My golf course is great for mad looking mushrooms and it is in fact soon going to be that time of year when these guys start sprouting up around the golf course again and I always like sharing these photos as they're pretty cool if I may say so myself.

The tricky part is trying to get a few photos of them when you're playing golf with other fellas without looking like an absolutely nut job!!! 🤣🤣
