Beer Saturday or Dry Saturday

Beer Saturday or Beerless Saturday?

I am fourteen days into Dry January and going well. It is something people in Ireland sometimes do after the festive season where there are many parties and nights out. Now in all honesty, I was only out twice over the festive season and they were not mad nights or anything, but this year I said I would give Dry January a go.

Rather than not take part in Beer Saturday for the rest of the month though, I decided that I'd look back on some favourite beers from 2022 and I might even buy a few beers this months and leave them aside for February.

Citra IPA

Let's take a trip down memory lane, back to the Irish summer about six months ago, yes, that's right we get Summers in Ireland too. They last for around three days!

I think I will try to get a few of these for when dry January ends next month, as they are a super refreshing and tasty IPA.

What they say about this 5.7% IPA

Citra, with its fruity, juicy aroma and flavour, is one of our favourite hops. To showcase it, we’ve used a simple, yet elegant, malt body which puts Citra’s fabulous tropical flavours on display: think ripe lychee, passionfruit and guava. Sweet and tart, with a gloriously juicy mouthfeel.

Boo to Dryanuary!!! BOO!

Ha ha ha, Boo is right, jesus I'd absolutely murder a big creamy pint of Guinness right about now!!

Haha. Summers in Ireland. Great quip. 😂

So, I enjoy word play (much to the chagrin of my children) and, if challenged for a Dry January myself, would probably resort to dry wine!

😂😂😂😂😂

Dry wine, aha that's my out!! I'm off to buy a case 😂

In all seriousness though, I am enjoying the month of the sauce, quite a good thing to do every now and again I suppose.
