GUIDE BOOKS TO MORGAN DOLLAR'S .....😀

I find it so interesting to look back at the Numismatics of Morgan Silver Dollars!😀
Here are two reference books that I bought many, many years ago...

Now we all now there are no guarantee's, many coins were not slabbed, and sometimes hordes of a date were found skewing the price further...But this is still very interesting looking back!!

So let's look.....Here we have my 1883 Carson City Morgan in the General Services Administration Blue box.
This Date had a mail order price from GSA of $30.00.

Now let's take a look my reference books...

Photo's by Silvertop..An Analysis of Morgan and Peace Dollars by Wayne Miller

This reference book states that this coin is over priced...remember this was 1976

Photo's by Silvertop...Silver Dollar Fortune Telling by Les and Sue Fox

Now this guide book put's out there best future price projection...check this out!!

They were expecting a price of $75.00 in 1980!
and a price of $250.00 in 1990!
Remember this book was copyrighted in 1979!

I just checked on Apmex and they are selling this date Carson City Silver Dollar for $219.00.....

So no one really knows the future, but I only spent $30.00 on my 1883 CC Morgan!
I still can remember filling out the card to get this Morgan....And I remember thinking, why is our Government giving these away!!!🤔🤗

Very pretty coin, @silvertop!
Do you read that reference book (instead of a novel) in bed, just as you are about to sleep? I recall the first couple of months before I started really stacking... I'd read the magazines from bullion dealers showing all the beautiful coins, and I'd fall asleep dreaming about the coins I will be amassing in the future when I becaome a stacker. LOL!

Yes us Silver Stackers are prone to Stackitis.....
The best "medicine" is a healthy dose of Silver😀
Have you looked into Colloidal Silver, the Mrs takes some during the cold and flu season. It's not a cure all, but she will tell you she stays healthier!
You can make your own, just make sure you use pure .9999 Silver wire.
